Wiley X Lens Technology

Wiley X produce lenses using the precise amount of dyes in the manufacturing process eliminating eye fatigue and strain. Lenses block 100% UV rays, are made of a shatterproof, selenite polycarbonate, and far exceed ANSI Z87.1 and Z80.3 safety standards. Then they formulate and die cut each lens to the maximum density and thickness creating one of the strongest lenses available, while still maintaining distortion free clarity. These features, combined with a wide selection of performance enhancing tints, work together to provide the ultimate in eye protection without optical compromise.

Neutral Slate Lenses: Great for general purpose use. These lenses will provide maximum glare reduction without distorting colours. Ideal for most activities and sports where glare is a major factor. Light transmission: 20.23%

Clear as Crystal Lenses: Allow maximum light transmission without changing the value of the colours. The clear choice for indoor shooting, industrial use, medical/dental use, night driving or any activity where protection is the major objective. Light transmission: 89.30%

Light Rust Lenses: Filter out blue light waves which are the chief components of glare and haze. These lenses provide contrast enhancements in medium to low light conditions. Great lens for any time of day or light condition but especially effective on hazy or overcast roads. Light transmission: 53.23%

Bronze Brown Lenses: Offer superior visual definition and glare reduction in bright light conditions. Overall it is the most suitable lens to sharpen and enhance ground level contours. Versatile lens is good for golfing, biking, hiking, shoot sporting and driving. Great choice for golf, baseball, snow sports, and sport shooting.

Smoke Green Lenses: Great for general purpose use. These lenses will provide maximum glare reduction without distorting colours. Ideal for most activities and sports where glare is a major factor. Light transmission: 21.09%

Blue Lunar Mirror: Designed to enhance visual acuity. Excellent colour for sight fishing. Great everyday lens tint with blue mirror coating over neutral slate lens. Blue lunar mirror increases the visual contrast of regular neutral slate lenses offering heightened detail in both bright sunlight and lower light conditions. Light Transmission: 10.02%

Emerald Green Mirror: The darkest colour in the Wiley-X line. Designed for bright light conditions. Excellent for water sports, beaches and offshore fishing. Great everyday lens tint that is soft on the eyes. Increases details of objects where polarization is needed most.

Silver Steel Mirror: Second darkest lens in the Wiley-X line. Designed for bright conditions. Provides maximum glare reduction without distorting colours. Ideal in bright sun where glare is a major factor. Excellent tint for beaches, fishing, general purpose and water sport applications. Light transmission: 7.19%

Crimson Red Lenses: Combine our multi-coat, Z-Oxide mirror over our neutral slate lenses. Diminishes glare by absorbing reflection across the mirror face. Ideal for most activities where glare is a major factor. Light transmission: 20.09%

Blue Ice Lenses: Combine our multi-coat Z-Oxide mirror surface over neutral slate lenses. Diminishes glare by absorbing reflection across the mirror surface. Excellent lens for day time riding. Light transmission 4.85%.

Polarized Neutral Slate Lenses: Use the latest in polarized film technology and shatterproof polycarbonate lenses. Our filter 8™ polarized film eliminates glare, allowing the user to see clearly with more detail and definition. Wear with caution while riding due to the glare from oil spots and ice being eliminated from vision. Light transmission: 10.05%.

LA™ Lenses - darken on bright sunny days to shield the eyes from harmful Ultra Violet rays. On overcast days or at night the lenses adjust to clear for clear, crisp vision that meets the stringent ANSI Z87.1-2003 optical standards. . Now you don't have to stop to interchange lenses. This new technology is also produced using shatterproof polycarbonate. This is much different than the old photochromic lens technology that use glass and CR-39, which can shatter if struck by a rock while riding. We've also incorporated our new Emerald 4™) anti-reflective coatings to eliminate back-lit glare from the sun or car headlights truly giving the wearer the most functional riding lens available.

Filter 3™ Lenses: Combines our new crystal gradient lens with a flash silver mirror so the can be worn during the day and at night. The silver mirror surface was developed to deflect glare from rays that cause eye fatigue and damage. The Crystal-Gray gradient lenses underneath gently shades the eyes, providing perfect optical clarity for any time of day.

Filter 2™ Lenses: Join our neutral slate lenses with our bronze brown dyes to make the perfect daytime riding class. Grey hues cover the top half of the lens providing extra shade from the sunlight above. The lower half of the lens unites our bronze brown dye to highlight the road in front. The gradient lens blends the two colors gradually making a lens tint that is soft on the eyes and perfect for bright sunlight and overcast days.
